Meet the team

David has worked in Financial Services since 1985 and has specialist qualifications in taxation, trusts and estate planning. He established Lamb Financial in 1992.
His main area of interest is lifestyle financial planning, which can also involve the need for business planning. With 15 years’ LFP experience, David is one of the region’s leading lifestyle financial planners, with a Certificate in Financial Planning, and he is a Registered Mentor for the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
David has a number of industry accreditations. He holds the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Certificate for Financial Services Trusts and Estate Planning, is a STEP Affiliate, Chartered Wealth Manager and Certified Financial Planner CFP™.
Away from work, David enjoys cycling and family time.

Peter is a highly qualified financial adviser with a specialist focus on divorce and retirement planning. He holds the prestigious Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute, alongside specialist qualifications in trusts, estate planning, and investment management. He also holds the CII Level 6 qualification in Regulated Pension Transfer Advice, enabling him to provide expert guidance on complex pension decisions, particularly important during divorce settlements and retirement transitions.
Peter’s relaxed, calm, and patient approach, developed during his previous career as a primary school teacher, helps clients feel at ease when discussing complex financial matters. He explains even the most technical concepts in clear, jargon-free language, ensuring clients feel informed and confident about their decisions.
As a Lifestyle Financial Planner, Peter uses detailed cashflow modelling to give clients a clear picture of their financial future. He works closely with people navigating divorce, helping them understand their financial position, explore settlement scenarios, and rebuild confidence for the next chapter of their lives. He also supports individuals and couples approaching retirement, helping them use their resources wisely so they can live the lifestyle they want, with the peace of mind that they won’t run out of money.
Outside of work, Peter enjoys keeping fit with CrossFit, hiking in the countryside, nights at the movies, and eating out.

Laura has more than 15 years’ experience in financial services. She joined Lamb Financial in 2013 after previously working in an operational management role at Northern Rock.
A mum to two children, Laura enjoys the outdoor lifestyle. She likes to explore the far reaches of Scotland with the trusty family tent, having completed the North Coast 500 and enjoyed numerous visits to the isle of Arran. Laura hopes to get to the Hebrides one day!
Nearer to home she likes to tickle her taste buds by trying new restaurants around the North East.

Hannah has built her career in financial services, joining Lamb Financial after six years as a Building Society Branch Manager, having worked her way up from a Customer Adviser.
Hannah provides Planning Support within the team and is currently undertaking her Level 4 Financial Advice qualification.
A mum to two children, Hannah loves spending weekends outdoors, geocaching and discovering new walks together. Always up for an adventure, Hannah enjoys exploring new places and making memories with her family.

Lamb Financial is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Director David Lamb is a qualified financial planner with specialist technical knowledge in taxation, trusts and estate planning. His main area of interest is lifestyle financial planning which also involves the need for business planning.
As well as the Diploma for Financial Advisers and qualifications in investment, risk, taxation and trusts, David also holds the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Certificate for Financial Services – Trusts & Estate Planning.



How much will it cost?
We therefore charge fees based upon the time we spend working with and for you.
For planning and advice we have a menu of fixed fees based on our standard hourly rate.
For establishing new pensions and investments we charge a 1.5% implementation fee.
We charge 0.95% per annum for funds under management, which pays for the cost of monitoring and reviewing the investment portfolio as well as managing the investment risk.
